We are big fans of Liz Aku and when listening to her album, Hollis always comments on how much it somehow reminds him of his hometown of Philadelphia. He feels like it has some roots in Philly’s Neo Soul movement that was prominent in the 90s. So when approaching this remix, we decided to use a bit of a throwback vibe to the club sound that was prominent around the same time. Or least, that’s what we were imagining...
